Sateesh Kandavilli, PhD, Joins Dow Development Laboratories as Senior Director, CMC

In his new role, Dr. Kandavilli will lead CMC strategy and execution across pharmaceutical development programs, supporting clients from early-stage formulation through commercial manufacturing. Sateesh will oversee CMC regulatory strategy, pharmaceutical development, process optimization, manufacturing readiness, technology transfer, and cross-functional collaboration to accelerate product development and regulatory success.
Dr. Kandavilli brings more than two decades of experience in successfully bringing pharmaceutical products from inception through to commercialization. Throughout his career (including roles at Promius and Bausch Health) he has successfully led multidisciplinary teams in the development of topical, transdermal, injectable, oral, and complex drug products while supporting numerous IND, NDA, ANDA, and global regulatory submissions for multiple products such as CABTREO® (clindamycin phosphate, adapalene, and benzoyl peroxide) topical gel, SERNIVO™ (betamethasone dipropionate) spray and IMPOYZ® (clobetasol propionate) Cream, 0.025%.
As Senior Director, CMC, Dr. Kandavilli will work closely with DDL project teams comprised of formulation scientists, analytical development teams, manufacturing operations, quality assurance, clinical packaging and labeling and project management, to deliver development strategies that support successful product approvals and commercialization for our clients.
